Your Fly in Fishing Adventure Starts Here!

Imagine five days, four nights doing nothing but fishing in Canada`s far north. Fishing in Northern Canada isn`t like your usual fishing back home, Northern Canadian fishing is different.

It`s huge trophy Northern Pike, in bays that have seldom seen a lure; pike that are going to peel a 100 feet of line from your reel when they attack your hook.

It`s Lake Trout, when they hit, it feels like you`ve just run into a wall. Stops you dead! Starts out as a snag .... and ends up being a trophy.

It`s anchored over a school of Walleye off a rock shelf and not being able to keep bait on your jig.

It`s setting your hook into a Grayling and having it do it`s acrobatics right in front of your eyes.

This is Northern Canadian fishing Arctic Lodges style!!!

July 07, 2011 Good Morning Duane, Well, after 17 hours of air and drive time, we are safely back in La Crosse, Wisconsin. I miss Reindeer Lakes weather already, as we were welcomed back with upper 80's (F) and high humidity. Just wanted to send you and everyone else at the Arctic Lodge a big THANK YOU for such a great and memorable trip. The hospitality was second to none! A special thanks to Duane, Brittany, Ray, Jan and our personal guides, Chris and Dustin for the special treatment and attention you have given us. Commendations are also due to your entire staff, as were welcomed by everyone and all had a good story or two to share. House keeping did a wonderful job keeping the cabins tidy and the food was excellent! In short, a great job by all making sure that there weren't any "buts" in regards to our stay at the Arctic Lodges. We came up for the fishing and ended up experiencing a whole lot more. The spectacular scenery. The clean, cool, dry air. The beautiful sunsets giving way to almost immediate sunrises. The comradery with the guides, which the boy's especially loved. The shore lunches. Moose sightings. Visiting with the other guests and staff. I could go on and on. Of course fishing is what put it all over the top. Thanks again to Chris and Dustin for putting us on to some of the best fishing we have ever experienced. Eli and Dan are sharing pictures and stories with friends and anyone else with one good ear. They both had great time and are already making plans for their next visit. What a first Canadian visit it was for the both of them, and also, the best one for myself. Once again, thank you for making our visit to Arctic Lodges more than just a "fishing" trip.
Sincerely, David Stoehr & sons West Salem, Wisconsin

Had a wonderful stay at Arctic Lodges. The trip up and back to say the least, BREATH TAKING!! The friendship, food, service and accommodations, top notch! Catching the big one, topped it off! Thank you for a great time and we will be back!
Ed and Sandie Hurford, Prince Albert SK

I fished with your guide Dawson Clark and I can't say enough about the wonderful days of fishing he provided. I caught more fish in one day than I expected to catch for the week!! I had always been told that Reindeer Lake is the experience of a lifetime and it is certainly true. Thank you Dawson.

Who said it could not get any better? I fished at Arctic Lodge in 1981 and had a great time. After 28 years I returned with my son and had another great fishing trip. We enjoying the scenery, sitting around the fireplace listening to everyones fish stories. The meals were excellent and shore lunches were outstanding. The owners of Artic Lodges were helpful, caring people that made our trip the success it was. If you like to fish don\'t miss this trip, I caught 40 + in. Northern and 40Lb. Lake Trout thanks to our guide Peter. This was one the most memorable trips of my life. Thanks again Ray, Jan, and Kelly Littlechilds for everything. Also a thank you to Andrea For the help in planning our trip and her hard work around the lodge.

I just returned from an amazing 4 day fly-in fishing trip at Arctic Lodges located on a beautiful and remote section of Reindeer Lake in Saskatchewan Canada. Arctic Lodges is owned and operated by Ray, Jan, and Kelly Littlechilds and a very friendly, very accommodating staff. The fishing on Reindeer Lake was unreal! I had been told that “if I came to fish, fish I would get” and it was absolutely true! I caught 3 (or was it 4?) northerns over 40 inches and a gazillion other northerns, lake trout, and walleye. My two biggest northerns were 43 and 44 inches. Our Cree guide, Jordan was raised on the lake and knew exactly where to fish for those big lunkers around the 5,500 islands, 2 million acres of water. I have shared about the spectacular fishing but other aspects of the trip were equally memorable i.e. phenomenal shore lunches, gorgeous sunsets, numerous eagles, and outstanding hospitality. It was a memorable trip in more ways than just fishing.

Hello from Flatrock Indiana. You guys really put on a good show. We are trying to loose the extra weight we put on. Those were some fantastic meals. I've told a few people about our trip and they think a place like that doesn't exist. Hope we can all get together next year.

I have been fishing Reindeer Lake and staying at Arctic Lodges for over 20 years now. The fishing is the best I have ever experienced and the accommodations are more than what one would expect from an affordable fly-in lodge. Whether it is a family vacation, a fishing trip with friends, or a business trip with clients, I would recommend Arctic Lodges as your getaway! One of the highlights of fishing Reindeer, besides the huge fish, is it's like your fishing on your own private lake, with over 5000 islands your never sharing a bay with another fisherman! I like to spend at least one day fishing walleye on a pristine and secluded lake off of Reindeer not far from the lodge. Last year my colleague caught an 8 pounder back there. We usually catch a number of walleye within the 5 - 6 pound range. I would recommend Arctic Lodges to any pike, trout, or walleye fisherman.

Thank you for the time of my life! The lodging, hospitality, facilities, meals, and fishing lived up to be everything I'd heard about. The chance for a true trophy is definitely 99% guaranteed, I caught my largest pike at 48 inches! The number of fish we caught on Reindeer was seriously exceptional. Steve Dobbs, Michigan

I just wanted to drop you a quick email to thank you for such an amazing experience. We couldn't believe how awesome the fishing was, it certainly surpassed our expectations as well as the hospitality. Catching the 60 pounder trout was not expected!! We will sure remember that one for a long time, we've told everyone about it.

Thinking back to last week and I just wanted to say thank you for showing us such a great time. I will be back to catch another 50 incher pike next year! See you then.

I had been told numerous times to visit Reindeer Lake and I finally decided to make the trip with some regulars. We jumped on a plane in Winnipeg in the a.m. and were out fishing the same morning, I couldn't believe how convenient it was. The lake trout and northern pike fishing was incomparable to any camp I had ever visited. Whether we were fly fishing, trolling, or casting we were throwing back one fish after another! I also loved the homey atmosphere of the camp, the to die for meals, and the top notch service.
Chris Schmidt, MN

It doesn't get any better than this. I have been going up to Arctic Lodges for 41 years now. I must admit that Reindeer Lake and Arctic Lodges are very special to me. The combination of unreal fishing, to flying in from Winnipeg (once upon a time Minneapolis), to meals, the laughs, and most important the Littlechilds' themselves that are the excellence factors. The minute I leave Arctic Lodges each summer I'm dreaming about coming back. Incredible bays of fishing are unparalleled on Reindeer. Arctic Lodges feels like home year after year, it is an experience of a lifetime.
