Unbelievable to say the least.  I had gotten the chance to fly-in with my grandfather in 2003.  He said he had been going there for years, ever since he was a little child.  I had heard the stories, but nothing could have prepared me for what I was truly in store for.  After an beautiful trip in, we dropped our things off in the cabin and started catching fish almost immediately.  The fishing was terrific, and on the third day I had my glory when I landed a 49 3/4" northern, shortly after pulling into a bay.(since I finally found the sight I will have pictures up shortly.)  Not to mention, the guide was incredible.  He took me to a place where he had been feeding a nest of baby Bald Eagles, and he assured me that the little one was very photogenic.  There will be pictures up, and more inquiries about trying to plan my next trip.  It was the trip of a lifetime!!!

Best northern Canadian fly-in resort that I have ever visited! The northern pike fishing on Reindeer Lake is too good to be true. Our guides knew exactly where to take us and were very accommodating.

Over the past 20 years I've done a lot of travelling and have visited a number of resorts in western and eastern Canada. After spending a fair bit of time in the west, a friend of mine returned from a fishing experience on Reindeer Lake and couldn't stop talking about it. I was convinced I had to see it for myself.

Arctic Lodges is truely unique; flying to their own airstrip makes your trip so convenient.  From the lodge to the rustic fishing cabins this was truely a real northern Canadian fishing lodge, very historical. The lodge owners and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, I honestly felt like I'd been going there for years. You definitely won't starve up there either. Their meals were so good and the shorelunches definitely were a highlight of the trip prepared by your native guide. The fishing was unreal, we averaged 90 fish one day. I caught my trophy northern at 47 inches, I will never forget that day! I plan to visit Arctic Lodges again, the fishing, scenery, and hospitality is unmatched.
